Bret Michaels, the 47-year-old “Rock of Love” and “Celebrity Apprentice” reality star is expected to make a full recovery after suffering from a Subarachnoid brain hemorrhage on April 22. A press conference was held on May 4 and doctors relayed good news about Michael's condition.
Doctors stated that the former Poison frontman has been released from the Phoenix neurosurgery center that where he has been recovering.
Dr. Joseph Zabramski, Chief of Cerebrovascular Surgery at Barrow Neurological Institute, said that Michaels is walking, talking and is expected to make a full recovery.
Dr. Zabramski told reporters, "I really expect that he will fortunately make a 100% recovery ... He's just one of those lucky people, the 20% or so who have a subarachnoid hemorrhage who make a complete recovery and are able to resume all of their normal activities."
Bret Michaels' medical team still doesn't know what caused Michael's bleeding. According to Dr. Zabramski, "Patients who don't have anything identified in their angiograms tend to do well ...This is one of those rare instances in medicine where we're actually pleased not to be able to find what caused the problem."
